I don’t know how many of you have heard about this but there is a huge wild fire in Southern California that has caused more than 250,000 people to flee their homes. This is truly terrible because houses have already been burned down and land has been destroyed. Thousands are without any homes right now and the fire shows no signs of stopping. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency in 7 counties at the moment and I can expect the number to rise a bit more. Fire Fighters are fighting the fire as hard as they can but wildfires have a mind of their own.
It isn’t like a hurricane that this would stop on its own after losing power over land. But fires will keep on spreading unless stopped by another natural force or the human machine. I know I would just break down if that was near my home and I really feel sorry for all those people that had to leave their homes or watch their houses burn down while they sit back and can’t do anything at all.
This is truly tragic and hopefully fire officials can get control of the burning flames. It has affected San Diego already and looking to go into the coast line where maybe millions of people live. If it spreads far enough, it can cause more damage than any hurricane in the past 100 years.

THEY DID IT. As I have told you in the past few posts regarding this, the Boston Red Sox came back from a 3 game to 1 deficit and won 3 games to 4 in their favor. They have crushed the Cleveland Indians the last 3 games in a row and last night’s game ended in a score of 11 to 2. Now its the Red Sox versus the Rockies in what is known as the World Series.
Game 1 of the World Series starts on Wednesday Night. You can check your local listings for the time and channel. The Red Sox go into the series with a Lot of momentum and power hoping to overcome the Rockies who have just had a week’s rest after wiping out their opponent in the National Championships. Now that the Indians have lost, I can sleep peacefully and good luck to both teams in the World Series. They deserve to be here after an amazing Regular season combined with Post Season.

I am sure some of you already know that I started my college life this past August and I haven’t looked back. Going to college, especially one as diverse as mine, you will find people from all over the state, the country, the continent, and the world. One of my friends is from Chicago and he’s a pretty cool guy. He’s always telling me stories about the great places there to visit and how it’s always windy. Now I know that the “Windy City” as the tile really fits. He will go back this Christmas vacation in a few months to be with his family and I might just go with him just to visit. Illinois is one of the many states I haven’t been to so you can assume I haven’t been to chicago yet. I really haven’t left the New England part of the United States in a long time and hopefully, visiting Chicago is the first non-New England place I go to. I knew it because I have posted it twice before that this series is going to Game number 7. The Boston Red Sox have won the last 2 games straight to tie the series 3 games to 3. Now the Clevelan Indians are under pressure because the game is at Boston’s home turf and who better to win at the home field than the home team?
I haven’t watched any of these games but I have been following through MLB.com and you can check the scores there too. In game 6 the Red Sox one again DESTROYED the Cleveland Indians and blew them out with a score of 12 to 2. I really hope that Boston can once again win because the Indians shouldn’t be here in the first place. I apologize for all the Indians fans out there but you still can’t change the way I feel.
