Making Backups

All webmasters should know to backup their websites very often. Whether it is every day or every two days or every week. Some do it once a month which I do not recommend. If anything happens to your site the day before your scheduled backup, then you lose a whole month of data and work. How would you feel? For those that have slow internet connection and are unable to download backups as fast or as often, there are online backup services that allow you to backup your sites online. Some let you do it directly and others will make you upload it yourself from your computer.

Sites like IDrive-E provides you with 2 GB or 2 gigabytes of space for free for as long as you need. It is fast and secure. You can set it so there is a backup taken whenever there is content change. How would you feel even if you lose data yesterday, you lost nothing at all. All information would be stored here. You can also upgrade to unlimited storage for just $4.95 a month. You can hold all your websites and all your hard drives on that one account. Simple and easy. Later on if you change web hosts or get a new computer, you will have one source where you can download your backup.

Even if you like to take all backups yourself manually, make sure you do it often enough not to regret it later. Good luck!
